Today is one of those days you'd like to repeat again... at least for me. Sundays are the best! I got to sleep in this morning which meant Pappi got up at 5:30am with the girls and I slept till 8:30am. I could have slept longer, but I fell asleep really early on the couch last night so I wasn't sleepy anymore. We spent the morning lazing around until our park play date at 11am. At 10:45 the three of us (the girls) bundled up in our snowsuits (yes, I wore mine too... it was frackin' cold today) and we headed out to the park to meet our friends. We had promised the kids to go tobogganing on Sunday morning, but it didn't snow enough this weekend for us to actually tobogan. I had promised Sophia that she could take her new tobogan out, so I let her... she still managed to do some today on our pathetic hill with no snow. For the hour that we were there Charlotte mostly watched a young boy practicing his hockey on the community rink. She seems to love the game... Oh please don't let her want to play. I really don't want to be a hockey mom. I suppose if it turns out to be something she really likes, I'd let her but if I had my way they'd play field hockey instead. At least with that you need minimal equipment and there are no 6am practices. The kids also had fun playing in the trees. I remember as a child making all kinds of cool pretend houses in our friends Willow tree...I wish we had a big old tree like that in our yard for our girls to play in. When we got home from the park Pappi was busy making us all french toast for lunch. Yum yum. After lunch, hubby took the girls upstairs to watch movies on the iPad while I cleaned the main floor. It was in need of a good clean. I vacuumed the whole main floor, underneath the couches and along all the base boards... ahhhh... the house is now semi clean. I love that feeling. A great dinner that I didn't have to make, and Charlotte falling asleep on me while watching Reading Rainbow was a perfect way to end this day.
